Biological Agents

Biological weapons are microorganisms like viruses, bacteria, fungi, or other toxins that are produced and released deliberately to cause disease and death.

Biological agents, like anthrax, botulinum toxin, and plague can cause large numbers of deaths in a short amount of time while being difficult to contain. Further consequences of bioterrorism attacks could also result in an endemic, epidemic, or even pandemic. The use of Biological agents pose a significant threat, with the risk of potential bioterrorism attacks increasing worldwide. In this section we’ll look at different Biological agents, their effects, and what treatments are available.
