APH Scenario

You are called to a 32-year-old female with reported PV bleeding. The patient is currently pregnant and was passed through to 999 after she called 111 (as she couldn’t get through to her midwifery team). It has come through as a catastrophic haemorrhage. At scene you find the patient sitting on the sofa waiting for your arrival, and on first impressions, look completely normal. You start to get a bit of history, this is the patients first pregnancy, she has only had her initial antenatal appointment and has missed other appointments due to work but says everything feels like it is going well. Today however, she has noted spotting that was slow but continuous, but this has gotten slightly worse over the last 6 hours. She has just put a pad on for now. She thinks she is 24 weeks pregnant.
