Cord Prolapse Scenario

You are called to a 21-year-old female who has stated she is in labour. She has just been discharged from hospital after she was told she was not that far along yet. She’s come home, has had a hot bath and her waters have broken. She is 38+4 weeks pregnant and states something doesn’t feel quite right, but she is not sure what it is. You are part of a crew and arrive shortly after the call. As you arrive you are surprised to see the patient is not in any pain, however she is quite anxious. She has no labour pain but is experiencing discomfort.
