Difficult Airway Scenario

You are solo responder and are called to a 21-year-old female who has been stung by a bee and now has reported difficulty in breathing. The caller (a friend) says she has an allergy to bee stings but doesn’t know any more history. An ambulance is around 5 minutes behind you. As you arrive and approach the patient, you can see she is clearly in extreme distress and is struggling to breathe, looks oedematous in the face, and cyanosed around her lips and fingers. The sting has been removed by the friend, but she didn’t know what else to do.
